Provisions Gourmet Market just started carrying

I have not tried it yet, but I am told it is awesome! They use nitrogen to freeze in less than 1 second, no ice crystals are formed. Very creamy!!
Why is Blue Sky Ice Cream the Best?
Faster
The exclusive freezing technology allows ice cream to be frozen in well under one second, ready to eat!
Smoother
The faster you freeze ice cream, the smaller the ice crystals are. This results in a smoother texture. And since we freeze our ice cream faster than anyone else, our ice cream is the smoothest around! Better
With the best process to make ice cream in the world, it only makes sense that we use the best quality ingredients and flavors.
Blue Sky Creamery Ice Cream Contains:
•Only 12% milkfat, compared to 18% milkfat of most other premiums

Jake from Amalgamated will be on hand tasting their 85 Lashes Rum tonight from 4-8pm at Provisions Gourmet Market

85 Lashes Rum
“85 Lashes is the name of the Rum produced by Amalgamated Brewing Company. The number 85 refers to the proof of the Rum. Our rum is hand-crafted in small batches and made with 100% pure sugar cane and molasses. Our Rum ferments for approximately 21 days before it is twice distilled. We distill the Rum slowly in old-fashioned artisan pot stills. This allowes us to better control the flavor and quality of the Rum. Our Rum is then aged at barrel strength of 160 proof in French Oak. Once the distiller determines the flavor is perfect, the Rum is “proofed” to 85. It is then hand bottled and hand labeld. Each bottle is numbered as to the batch and bottle number by the distiller himself. As with all hand-crafted products, no two batches will be exactly alike. Thus, each batch offers a unique experience.” — Amalgamated Brewing

Food and Wine Pairing
Classes at Provisions
For your enjoyment and education, we have “paired” two outstanding talents, Angela Ortmann, Certified Sommelier, and Scott Phillips, Executive Chef.
Chef Scott, Provisions Gourmet Market
Scott, creator of the award-winning gourmet foods at Provisions, will personally prepare special dishes for each evenings tasting. From seafood to barbeque, from salads to desserts, each tasty morsel will be presented for your enjoyment and paired with a complementary wine.

Angela Ortmann, Certified Sommelier
Angela, STLwinegirl (www.stlwinegirl.com) and recently named “goddess of wine” by Sauce Magazine, is an independent wine and food consultant. She will lead the class in learning what wine pairs with each dish, explain the difference the right wine with the right food makes, and how to use that knowledge in your own cooking and entertaining. Because pairing is a subjective art, the class will include an open discussion format.
